The team have just completed this Edging installation in West Sussex.
The brief was to create a retaining wall to hold back the garden as it flowed up the hill. Steps are to be added in-between the steel wall once the patio has been laid at the bottom of the garden. Grass will be laid once the groundwork is finished at the top of the garden. The owner has also decided to back fill behind the steel with gravel to level off the garden.

Our solid Legacy 6 edging is perfect for a retaining the ground. Our steel is a solid, robust, long lasting solution that will not rot or become brittle in the elements. It is also fully welded on site to add to its strength
The team headed up by Dom installed 46 meters of edging that was 750mm high and 6mm thick. The Corten sheets came in lengths of 3 meters.
- Posts inserted into the ground
- Frame to hold the sheets of steel
- Finished frame.
The team set the posts down the line which were bolted to the foundations that the client had laid. They cut and welded 70×70 angle iron in between the posts. The sheets of steel were incredibly heavy but the team lifted, placed and fully welded the sheets to the posts.

The welds were all on the back of the steel so the front remains a clean focal point which will weather naturally. This will be backfilled by the client before lawn is laid.
